The People of Sparks är min favorit av Jeanne DuPraus Books of Ember. Det är den andra boken i serien, så jag kan inte förklara varför den här boken är så bra utan at spoila första boken. Den här boken är helt annorlunda från första boken, DuPrau behandlar nya koncept, och den känns inte som om författaren skriver en uppföljare bara för att… [SPOILER] Invånarna från Ember är nu flyktingar och de kommer till en liten by som heter Sparks. Jag gillade verkligen hur DuPrau skriver om de spänningar som uppkommer mellan flyktingarna och invånarna av Sparks. Maten i byn är inte tillräcklig för alla, och Emberfolket har inte lärt sig hur man odlar mat eller bygger hus. En väldigt insiktful liknelse med hur det verkligen är för utvandrare som inte kan åka tillbaka till sitt land, och för folket i det nya landet som måste ta emot flyktingar.
The People of Sparks is my favorie of Jeanne DuPrau's series Books of Ember. It is the second book in the series, so I really can't explain why this is a great book without spoilers. I will say though that this book is completely different from the first book; DuPrau develops new concepts and the book doesn't feel like your typical sequel: let me explain [SPOILERS] the inhabitants of Ember are now refugees, and they happen upon a small village called Sparks. I really liked that DuPrau writes about the tensions that arise between the refugees and the residents of Sparks. The food isn't enough for everyone, and the people of Ember have not learned how to grow food or build houses. This is a very insightful analogy of real life situations for imigrants who cannot back to their countries, and for the people of the new country that recieves the refugees.
