Annikas litteratur- och kulturblogg hosts a chain where each week book bloggers answer a question about books and literature. This week's question is: Do you have a guilty pleasure or a favorite that might surprise us jerkare?

Hmmm, det var ingen lätt fråga eftersom jag inte kan komma
på något jag skäms över i mina läsvanor… men att läsa fanfiction är det närmaste en guilty
pleasure som jag kan komma med, vilket kanske inte är så förvånansvärt
heller. Jag älskar fanfiction om anime, böcker – och till och med TV-serier—
som jag av någon anledning tycker är legendariska: eg. Sailor Moon, Stolthet och
Fördom, Goda Omen, The Big Bang Theory och några till. Det
jag helst läser är så kallade ”fluffiga” berättelser, och allra bäst är det om handlingen
tar platts i ett alternative universe
utanför storyns vanliga händelser. Visst kan det ta tid att hitta något bra och
värt att följa i fanfictionträsket, men det är lite som att fynda på loppis—
hittar man något bra så blir man ganska glad. ^.^
Hmmm, it was not an easy question because I can't think of anything I'm ashamed of in my reading habits... but reading fanfiction is the closest to a guilty pleasure that I can come up with, which, perhaps, is not so surprising either. I love fanfiction about anime, books -- and even TV series-- that for some reason I find to be legendary: eg. Sailor Moon, Pride and Prejudice, Good Omens, The Big Bang Theory and a few others. I prefer reading so-called "fluff" stories, and the best such stories usually take place in an alternative universe outside the original story's main plot. Sure, it may take some time to find something good and worth following in fanfiction swamp, but it's a bit like finding a bargain at a flea market-- if you come across something, you become pretty happy. ^.^
